PROJECTS AND ARTWORKS
Images construct reality.
An art that uses the tools of
media system to transform perception.
media system to transform perception.
Damiano Fasso’s work operates as an investigation into reality and its contradictions: images construct reality, shaping and directing it, and determining what exists and what disappears. This conviction drives a body of work that has spanned painting, video installations, and digital art for twenty-four years.
In June 2026, the Museo Nazionale Collezione Salce acquired nine of his works. His work is present in national and international public collections and in leading publications on contemporary digital art.
The works are listed in the following sections: painting, photography, installations, digital art, and video.
Damiano Fasso's works arise from the reworking of images and media symbols, analyzed and reorganized until they become structured. His language is multimedia: painting, video, installation, and digital intertwine as parts of a single, evolving system. The artist uses unusual materials—fluorescent enamels, gunpowder, glitter—and references from diverse fields (Asian neopop, social networks, video games, glitch art) to generate seductive yet unstable images, where the natural and the artificial blur. Underlying this is a constant tension between a drive toward infinity and a perception of human fragility.
The colored surfaces introduce an ambiguous space in which reality loses solidity. Fasso's work makes this perceptual shift visible: the world appears as a hyper-pop simulation.
